Phloxing Around The Birdbath!

There's no rhyme or reason to these crazy colors. But I enjoy them.

The varied colors attracts bees.  That's their purpose.  That's what I was told by a bee keeper.

Not to mention daylilying.  Very pretty, like an English garden.

I think it is lovely!  I am a fan of lots of flowers in a garden of all colors and varieties.  I think the bees will be happy with this assortment!

@Kachina624  That daylily is called "Red Volunteer." I planted a few of them 35 years ago, and they have been stalwarts in the flower beds.

@PA Mom-mom   It's very pretty.  Don't know that I've seen such a bright red.

@PA Mom-mom , so pretty!  you are at least ten days ahead of me.  My tall phlox is not open yet and neither are my day lilies.

I spent most of the day in the garden yesterday, ahead of Elsa's arrival tonight.  I looked out the window at lunch and saw a bird perched on the birdbath which had dried up in the heat.  I went around and filled all the bird baths.  I have to do one of the hummer feeders today.  The other one is still going.  The wild life has a way of letting you know when you are behind with the chores!  LM

Re: Phloxing Around The Birdbath!

This is the first year I have had phlox.  So I cut some and brought them in the house along w/snapdragons.  Then I started sneezing.........no more phlox in the house for me.  They are pretty, tho.  I'll just have to enjoy them outdoors.  Snapdragons are fine Smiley Happy
