Yes, Hummingbirds will go to Butterfly Bushes since they do produce nectar. Some of their fave plants though are Salvias, Cupheas, False Vervain and Honeysuckles due to a higher ratio of nectar per flower. It also depends on what else is near by...if anything at all for the Hummingbirds to feed on. At our place, since we have MANY high nectar plants, they rarely visit the Butterfly Bushes, however thay are covered with butterflies Smile

One is in mid flight and the other is on the black pole/stand. too sweet...

I would like to do some planting in my backyard, but I am allergic to Bee's. What kind of flowers do any of you suggest. Please name them, I am not a true gardener. Is it true that bee's do not like a certain color?

Yep, ya'll are finally learning wht I did years ago, CF and Phil lie through their truth////

I never got anythng that looked alive when it came here...

I even posted pics right to CF and they were even shocked, apologized and offered to send new grasses, as well as a few other plants...

I said no thanks,,,I learned my lesson...

Well, if you keep them trimmed, they could be a border plant....but mine are almost like trees, and I cut them down drastically around March every year.
