When we had an overabundance from a large garden we had, we took the excess to a food pantry.

@cheriere You're welcome, Cheriere- thank you fr always being so kind too ![]()
! I bet your peach cobblers are delicious! The great thing about fruit syrups is you can put them on pancakes, in lemonade or on ice cream. I'm sorry to hear that your mom's bone in her hand fused to the wrong bone- to no fault of her own. She sounds like a really strong and resilient lady- I think that physical therapy could herlp her wrist and I do hope that she finds ways to manage or reduce the pain when her wrist acts up. I'm sure having you as a daughter greatly helps in her healing and bringing her a lot of happiness ![]()
! Also, how's your little Ruby dog doing?

Hi ,@cheriere
,
These look so good!
I've also been thinking about your mom and you. I bet you are both tired of these appointments!
My stepmother used to make peach ice cream. I still remember how good it was and from what I remember we just put peaches and ice in an ice cream maker? Maybe there was milk too. I think there was.
I always peel a peach when I eat it which isn't often at all.
ps-I think my shoulder will always hurt from a bad fx but you know what helped a lot? After all the pt which sometimes made it hurt more,
a new physical therapist used "cold lazer," then ultrasound w/ warm or cold gel, then about 5-10 minutes of a tens with heating or cooling pad.
No exercises though we did look through the ones that hurt and she said don't do them.
I think that cold lazer which I've never had before and never heard of was what made a difference. Now it doesn't hurt all day long, just when I move it the wrong way.
The first 2 days after it didn't hurt at all. I was so happy it made me cry.
So after many pt sessions with different people and 2 years of not much help, this is what helped. Not the normal pt for weeks!
She said there are 2 kinds of patients. Those with pain and those with stiffness. And she said you have to get rid of pain before
you can move! Doesn't that make so much sense?!! And now for the first time after 2 years, I was able to do the butterfuly in the pool again-only 3 times but I was so happy!
I hope your mom will ask about this and able to try it. It looks just like a pen with a red light-totally non invasive and you can't really feel anything happening, til afterwards and so much less pain!

You're always so kind. I've missed talking to you.❤️
Ruby is doing pretty good. Some of her her favorite variety of apples are coming in, so that always makes her happy! Of course p, she likes the sweetest ones lol. We play roll and fetch with them in between her taking a few bites. They don't last but a couple days.😂❤️

I've missed talking with you these past couple weeks.❤️
Thank you for mentioning peach ice cream. I actually thought about trying to make some this year. I don't have a new ice cream maker, but I still remember how to do it the old fashioned way with our ancient machine lol.😃
I really appreciate your asking about mom. She's doing much better, just tired. It really does wear you down running to appointments so often. I think she's going to use a different hospital for her physical therapy. She mentioned having had one of those techniques with the red light therapy. However, I really like the sound of the cold therapy you've mentioned. I'm glad you said it doesn't really feel cold too. Unfortunately, that's why she always swells so badly. She never can tolerate ice packs. Since this doesn't feel this way, it would be good for her to at least try.
Im also going to try to get her to the pool in a few days. It's been too hot here the whole month of June. Luckily, it's gonna cool down at least without such bad humidity. My cousin just bought a new house with the fanciest pool and outdoor cooking area, lounge area I've ever seen. It's cool enough under the shade so it won't bother her.

You don't happen to live in New Jersey cuz I'd be right over with my bags to take them off your hands. Peaches are my absolute favorite fruit. I also drink peach ice tea.

No...but if you're near Tennessee, I live in Ky, only 11 miles from the border. A lot of folks who go to Gatlinburg or the Great Smoky Mountains for vacation pass right by my little town on I-75. Just stop by and you can pick as many as you want.😃❤️

Your cousin's pool area sounds really nice and yes only if it's not a thousand degrees lol!
And yes the cold lazer isn't cold so I don't know why it's called that. It doesn't even touch you.
Pretty amazing. I hope it will help!
