Yesterday we had 5 males and 3 females fighting over the jelly and oranges. 

The males have also been picking at my marigolds I have in a planter on the deck.  I don't know if they're getting seeds or bugs..

We had them build  right above our back fence last year and watched as the babies fledged the nest.  It was so interesting.  I hope this year they will build close again. 

We love watching and listening to the birds.  One of our favorite pastimes....

At the same time I put out the hummingbird feeders, I also put out 2 jelly feeders every spring.  I usually hear the orioles before I actually see them.  With orioles and wrens, we have quite a concert going on in our yard all the time.  This year we think we have 5 orioles, 2 females and 3 males, even tho it's difficult to keep track of them.  Sometimes the orioles will try to feed out of the hummer feeders.  Beautiful birds!  We really enjoy having them.
