Hello folks,
I decided the proect this year is going to be seriously work on a nice veggie & flower garden.
I went crazy and bought a seed starting shelf with grow lights and have lots of seedlings. Im very excited to try my hand at it.
I have an odd question that is probablly as silly as it gets.
I have plants planted around the perimeter of the front of my house. (bee balm, catmint, hydrangeas, rhododendron, azalea, wigelia)
OK, I live in the country and in the woods as well. I have a ton of leaves that fell last autumn/winter and are "mulching" the plants around the perimeter of the house. I never cleaned them up last year, I just left them.
Now, should I remove these old soggy leaves? is it acting as mulch or just suffocating the soil?
This is probablly gardening 101, but I never had anyone to give me advice on how to garden....
Thanks!
