Nest building day for the junco family.

Awwww! They are so cute!💕
One third of my yard is heavy woods and we have many nests here. A family member owns property that has an Eagle's nest. We are excited about that one!

Incredible pictures @GingerPeach!
Aren't they the sweetest birds?
Such a special birdbath you have out for them too!

As a deep south girl (GA), I don't know what a junco is, but my bluebirds are nesting and have 5 eggs!
So much fun watching birds build and hatch families!

Thanks, @on the bay
Would you believe it's a ceramic pie dish?
It's really a bit too slick so I plan to add some pebbles or something.
It's new this spring.
But there is an "official" bird bath just about five feet away that's been there for, gosh, 30 years!

I envy everybody who has real woods close by. 🌳🌳🌲🌳
There are trees here, mature ones, but it's still too suburban for me lately.
Thinking good thoughts for the eagles and all other wildlife.

@GingerPeach So adorable. Thanks for sharing.
Yes, some pebbles or small rocks would be very helpful for your wee ones. Love the color of your new bird bath.

I love nesting season! I have bluebirds nesting in one of my boxes. I put a second box out this spring but think it's too close to my house. I haven't seen any birds checking it out yet. I may try to move it but have a small back yard.
We have dark-eyed juncos in the winter in East TN. I love to watch them.

Walking thru our town center last weekend, there was a pair of juncos in a tree, beaks filled with nesting stuff too--and when I had a house, I would put out some dryer lint and watch the birdies carry it away. Was a hot item, I might add.
