A friend sent me these photos and asked if I knew what they are, of course, as I've said before, I am not good at identifying plants, so...anyone know?

The flowers look like chrysanthemums-not sure about the leaves though?

The first looks like a chrysanthamum and the second looks like a vegetable flower (a squash or cucumber?).  

I'm not that good at identifying, I honestly don't know half the names of plants/shrubs in my yards.  I just buy what I think is pretty and forget the names.
