2 tomato plants and lettuce
I didn't think I thinned the lettuce properly, not sure what I will end up with.
The tomato plant closest to the lettuce is an heirloom plant given to me by a family member. It went through some cold weather and one frost but it's coming back.
The other tomato plant is "Better Bush", a bush tomato.
I'm sure it will all go crazy and become a jungle, as long as I get some fruit, I'll manage it. This picture was taken May 3
@software It looks as if you are in business. The lettuce looks wonderful, you can pick only leaves or thin and eat what you thin, and let it grow into heads.
My tomatoes are still under grow lights in my garage, growing but tiny, should have gotten them going a long time ago, but once it gets hot and they are planted, they will take off. One type of tomato I am growing this year is also Better Bush. I am growing about eight varieties, probably more. I had to remove the pole beans from the grow lights, heading through the top, so they will be planted outside this Sunday, also whatever else has grown, some squash, cucumbers, herbs.
I am already getting strawberries from the three plants I planted last year, and the new plants of this year are growing, one has two flowers, blackberries are formed, but havn't turned, well one did and I ate it this morning.
I am glad your great planting container has worked well for you. I should have one like yours just for lettuce, but will have DH just make a smaller box and put it in half sun,. half shade.

@software, I am very impressed with your garden, looks delicious...and no worries about e.coli. You have lots of eating to do.
I decided not to attempt tomatoes this year; it just frustrates me. I have my elevated bed planted only with herbs. I make soups a lot, even in summer, so I love having fresh herbs. I use Thyme regularly, on the baking pan while roasting cauliflower or carrots.

Herbs are awesome, I don't cook much anymore so they would go to waste for me. I've still got a long way to go yet.
