Thanx for the info.  I was wondering yesterday how far north they might be.  So with your info - they should arrive in NYS by mid April = which is usual.

I am in SC and "scout" arrived Friday evening.  Each year I get one loner who will hang around for a week or so and then I see none for anothre couple of weeks.  Yesterday as I sat at the kitchen table he flew up to the window and just hovered about.  I love when they arrive!

I grew up outside Buffalo, and my two sisters still live there.

Re: My first hummingbird this spring

Lucky you!  I'm still patiently waiting here on the central plains.   Spring flowers and tree buds were early this spring, so I put out my hummer feeders early too.  I haven't seen any yet, but always hopeful.
