Violet Pride is a new rose here this year, and I love it already.  It has a wonderful fragrance and color, and I love the pom pom shape of the blooms.

A small gardening project today-- purchased two miniature roses from local ShopRite supermarket for $2 each!

Bought two blue pots with saucers at large family owned nursery and potting soil mix came from Home Depot.

Put them all together and you get 'Dora' a coral orange rose and 'Gigi' a red with white striping rose.

@JustJazzmom  Here are pictures of aother mystery rose that was planted at least twenty-five years ago at the top of and in a hill.  Because DH didn't listen to me about planting roses in a wire basket as a friend suggested, the gophers ate them all, except for a few, and this rose is one of them.  This rose has survived all these years without any watering from me, only the rain we get, and many droughts, so it is my hero.  At that time, I was only buying hybrid teas as I didn't know about the heirlooms, but discovered those soon, so this must be a tea, but, this rose had six enormous roses to one thick enormous stem, have never seen anything like it before, the size of the blooms and stem, and it has a marvelous fragrance, not to mention the color which I love.

Every year when I go to the top of the property to side tip the redwoods so they will fill in, I see this rose, and cut which is usally one rose, normal size, and then forget about it.  On Sunday, while weeding,  I saw the huge blooms all the way up through the trees, so up we went to discover what I described.  I told DH to get my camera and pruner, lol, so off he went, and the rest is history.

@JustJazzmom  I think this rose may be Sheer Bliss, as it fits the description, but will never really know.

By the way, I am really happy with Easy Does It, a beautiful rose.
