M89849 Phillip Watson Designs, 1 pc. 2n1 Buzz Butterfly Bush.

[ Edited ]

My sister and I garden together and planned on planting this Butterfly Bush. Needless to say it was dead on arrival.

'Here's a photo. It was packaged  ok, but, dry as a bone.CCBB4731-2221-423E-A51D-B0CCF7FBA500.jpeg

I recd the plant, dead on arrival as well.  Read the reviews.  And its still cool where I live, even raining every two days!

Did you try watering it to see if you could resurrect it? They seem to be very hardy.

Yes it was watered and set out in a covered area in the patio, not cold or too warm. The leaves are crumbling. There was three root feeders. The soil was very dry. We've grown Butterfly plant before, this was the first time we ordered them.

@AlsaceGal  I think I would try contacting PWD immediately, so that you can get a replacement in time to plant this spring.

My sister was reimbursed by QVC. We won't be ordering again. We'll continue purchasing at our local garden centers.

Tha'ts beyond belief....I just cancelled my order for one plant.  Said a

Proven Winner source............. so to help Phillip and butterflies was going for one.

I know PW well and no way would they EVER ship that plant.

Phillip better find another TV gig - this one iisn't working.

I understand your dissapointment, but you might try cutting it back.  The roots could be viable.

I agree, though, things like that have to be shipped carefully and it does not look like this was.

I order from another source via FedEx and they have been perfect.  I have also ordered via QVC and for the most part, plants are growing on just fine, but they would not be my first choice.

That's a shame.  I bought 4 last year and they were/are gorgeous!  I just cut them back for the new season and they have already started to green up!
