Looking for advice...repotting a larger houseplant

Hey there. Normally post over in Beauty forum, but figured I'd probably get some good tips directly or good websites that might help me in an upcoming attempt to repot a rubber tree plant.

It has been an indoor plant and it has outgrown its current approximately 12" tall/12" diameter pot. I've had to tie the main stalk to a stake to prevent it from leaning too far over.

Thanks in advance for any ideas on where to start.
