Re: Look what happened overnight...

We have a chance of snow Saturday here in the desert Southwest.  Last average frost here is April 6th.  It will be 85° today.

Yes, @ValuSkr , I hate spending but I use Liquid Fence.  I enjoy my garden far more than I hate spending cash on the stuff.

Wildlife lovers, be warned:  I am the biggest wildlife advocate "out there".  Deer have few predators and they proliferate, and of course, we feed them (and of course we have taken up in their territory).  It is mano y mano!

Pestilence on legs.  They carry Lyme and eat the forest understory and have twins!  Not just one, two!  In doing so they destroy habitat for many other important species.  I have no answer to the problem but I do what I have to do!  (Eat more venison). It's a very lean meat.

@Sweetbay magnolia.  The best part of getting rid of my ex-husband was not having to eat venison anymore.

Don't tempt me with quick comebacks, @Kachina624 !

Mano y mano, indeed.

Deer are why the .22 exists.  And a bow and arrow.

@Allegheny , I missed my swim this morning because the roads were a mess.  Silver lining, ever the optimist, it won’t last long.  I am an early riser.  What I am really hating these days is the below freezing temps in the morning.  Come on already!  LM

@Lilysmom  In PA we would call that an "onion snow." That's a snow after the onion sets are planted. We didn't really get one this year... at least not yet!

@Lilysmom  Both pictures are beautiful, as is where you live, but I will take yesterday!

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!
