That is powdery mildew, a fungal disease. It may need more sunlight or more interior pruning to allow for increased air circulation.

@grandma_2_2  Rose rosette disease has decimated the knockout roses in North Texas.

@LonestarBabs  I hope that disease doesn't travel to E.TX.

I just love my knockouts and have a lot of them.

My knockout roses have sections where there are lots of holes in leaves. Not deer. Other sections ok. Some of the canes are so thick I need saw to cut. Mine are nice but they get so large and need to be cut away from wall.

UPDATE, i had a very pretty young deer visiting right before dark ,last night.

When you lose some one you L~O~V~E, that Memory of them, becomes a TREASURE.
