We just had a lovely rain which woke up the shrubs.

The flowers are lovely, gardening is clearly your forte.
And the rainbows - so inspiring and hopeful A gentle reminder there is still breathtaking beauty to be found. We just need to be reminded of where to look.
Thank you so much!

@godi , thank you. My reward for being an early riser is the rainbow. If you can believe it, I took the photos with my iPad. The rainbow was there and gone in a few minutes. I dashed outside with my iPad and snapped a few shots before it died away, A great start to Friday. LM

A double rainbow, spectacular!!!! The flowers are beautiful and colorful, such a tranquil lovely environment. Relaxing among all that beauty and nature, a book to read and I am smiling and grateful!!!!

Those are some of the prettiest rainbows I've ever seen! and double!
I love the brilliant red and soft lavender rhododendrums too.

@Lilysmom1 Have a lilac about the same size which didn't bloom as much as ususal. I had the electric trimmers out last week to trim back new growth on a favorite large yew and had forgotten how quickly and easily those electric trimmers cut through everything like butter!! I finished with the yew in minutes and still wanted to play.
Then what? Moved on to the lilac, naturally. Didn't take long to trim and shape that up either. Hope next year that bush has a boatload of blossoms again!
Put down the electric trimmers.
I've also thinned out my hydrangeas with my clippers so they have plenty of air circulating between their stems and leaves. This is done each year to prevent crossed stems and ensure large, healthy blooms which remain on all plants throughout the year for winter interest.
I simply don't care to crowd the landscape or the interior of my home!

@Lilysmom1 Your yard is beautiful as always. most of the azaleas and Rhododendrons are finished blooming in VA.
The bird sculpture is unusual, love it!
