I noticed this on the side of the Garage and looked to see if anything was flying in or out and I haven't seen anything.
Never seen this before.

I believe it is a hornet or wasp nest...some typeof flying insect. Be careful.

I have had something very similar on my brick but it was more of a grey color. They were either hornet or wasp nests.

Yep. I think they might be mud daubers (a hornet/wasp type critter that makes that nest from mud), and they do sting, although I haven't found them to be overly aggressive. And yes, these are their nests.
We have many of them and I just scrape off the mud nests. They're a pain during the summer.

Yes thats mud dobbers nests. They are full of baby wasps or it could be abandon. You can knock it down very carefully.

Yes, you are right. I did a little more research and it does appear that these are mud dauber wasp tunnels. Check it out here:

The larvae of the wasp are inside the tunnels and they contain smaller insects for the larvae to feed upon when they hatch.

As they are apparently the organ pipe mud dauber, you may have noticed what Wikipedia says about them:
"Organ pipe mud daubers are also an exceedingly docile species of wasp, and generally pleasant to have around, as they serve to keep spider populations down."
