Re: If you like tiny bouquets once in a while

@GingerPeach  Your dwarf myrtle is lovely! I like it in smaller vases with spring/summer flowers as well.

Re: If you like tiny bouquets once in a while

@GingerPeach  Does your dwarf myrtle bark "shed" its bark, esposing lovely shades and textures (when mature) like the large tree variety in the Southern states? They are as interesting as White Birch trees!

Mine isn't old enough yet, @BirkiLady

It's the myrtus communis compacta.

I have a bit of an issue.....

I now have a wall of this plant and no gate nor walk thru area.

I'm not seeing the photo @cbrite  of the plant you are describing.

We have good memories? Woman Very Happy

Common names differ in various areas of the US so the botanical Latin gives everyone a common starting point.

@cbrite  Almost all plants rejuvenate when cute back. The roots are deep and healthy. Go ahead and give it a good trimming so you have plenty of room for a walk-through. Then water thoroughly.  It will probably fill in thicker then before, giving you a lusher shrub or arbor.

The first picture you posted looked like a happy shrub! Keep it trimmed to the desired shape so you always have an entrance and you will be happy, too.
