Identify this weed....

[ Edited ]

I have a yard full of these.Image2.jpg

Usually stays short, not this tall.

The leaves get more yellow in the center as they get older.  Thanks for your info!

@Zhills  It looks like a plant, not a weed, maybe a wildflower?  The leaves look leathery, not like the leaves of a weed, but hard to believe, I hanv't seen all weeds in my garden of many varieties, lol.

Thanks.  I found it in a garden blog after I posted this.  I have searched for days!

It is a Desmodium incanum or Spanish clover.

It said only Roundup will kill it and that will kill the lawn!

There is a Roundup out now that will only kill weeds and not your lawn.  I haven't used it, but garden guys who do my yard are going to use it on Monday.  They say they have used it and that it does not harm the grass.  Hopefully this will nelp you.

My DH used that Roundup on dandelions last year...it did indeed kill the grass.  I had bald circles all over my yard. I thought my DH used the wrong kind of Roundup, but he didn't.  False advertising, for, sure.

We had to place new topsoil and plant new grass seed on all of the bald spots.

Be sure to test it in an area you can't see before you put it all over your lawn.

If you have dogs, I wouldn't use any Roundup.
