I usally take my hummingbird feeders down the end of Sept. Like I stated in the post that is started. I read that you do not and should not take feeders down until you do not see a Hummer for 2 weeks. They will migrate feeders or not. However some of the young that are born late in the season actually need the extra food to make the trip. I had mine down for a day and rushed to put it back up after I read that. Sure enough a little fat bird was there. I have seen two since I put it back up so mine will stay for a while. I do not know how true this is but I thought I would pass it on.
