@itsmagic , isn't that a lovely spot of colour in the garden?  The flowers are so delicate.

 

 I don't know anything about roses. In our last home, I didn't so much gardening as I was working full time and travelling a lot.  I let DH plant some roses and OMG they must have been Rosa multiflora which is a very invasive shrub.  We removed them before we moved and it took forever!  Nasty job!

 

Since that time, I haven't gone near roses!  LM

You are missing something really special in your garden. The shrub roses really stand out among the other shrubs. 

I have a no spray garden of roses.

@who , I don't.  If I want to prune for shape, I do it immediately after bloom time.  LM
