I live in central Pennsylvania and we had nearly 10" of rain inundating the hummer feeders with huge amounts of water for several days. On Saturday I cleaned and filled the feeders with fresh food and saw no hummers on Saturday or Sunday or this morning. I was working at the kitchen sink late this afternoon and looked out the window and guess what ... they have returned!
Bless their little hearts.
I'll keep the feeders up until the end of September as someone suggested. Meanwhile, I hope to see them feeding each and every day. I love to watch them.
