Hummers along with orioles are back in west Michigan, about 2 weeks sooner than usual.

I haven't seen any hummers yet here in Mo., but should within a week or two. I have food ready to prepare for them, as soon as they show up. They are so cute. I love watching them.

I live in the Northeast and put my feeder out last Sunday. Saw hummingbirds right away and every day since. It's always thrilling to see them again.

I just use sugar water.

Hola!  I live in New Mexico too!  You are right about them not wintering over here, but leaving your feeder or feeders out late witll not encourage them to stay.  They know when it's time to migrate!  We had our first one April 16th this year.  But someone posted a pick on KOAT7 ulocal of a Rufuos hummer in the Southern part of the state in March at their feeder.  They don't arrive here until early July!

Wish I'd see these in my yard. All we seem to get are the black-chinned hummingbirds.
