Salsa isn't salsa without cilantro.

Re: Homegrown Cilantro- I Really Hate It

I've had salsa with Cilantro, & it was delicious. I guess I should have tried to incorporate it into something, but I just couldn't get passed the aroma.

Btw, a poster above mentioned Tarragon....I also can't stand that herb. I think it smells like tobacco. Smiley Tongue

I use cilantro in many types of recipes, Asian, salsa, quacomole, salsa verde,  prawns with garlic, extra virgin olive oil and cilantro, I use it anywhere I think something needs a fresh pop, it really livens a sauce, and I eat stem and leaves, if stems are not bitter, while I am preparing a meal with cilantro in it.

I love Mexican food, but I can take or leave cilantro. They say it has a garlic type flavor, but I don't know about that! I like it in salsa.

I don't like it either. I met this doctor who told me people with a lot of taste buds don't like bitter foods. He looked at my tongue and told me I have a lot of taste buds and then asked me about certain foods I don't like. He was right.

I don't like it but I don't hate it.  If it's in something, I won't make a point of picking it out.

I'm in the tastes like soap group.  They say your genes play a role in it tasting like soap.

It's too bad that you couldn't enjoy it because it is a pain to grow in some areas. It bolts easily so I gave up growing it and just buy it now. I love it, but at least it's cheap.
