@AngelPuppy1

I like the yellow ones too and 'Easter Basket' that I did see there was mostly in the yellow family not with the pinks as I showed it here. So that particular rose might be tinged with pink.

Just heautiful!  I know nothing about roses.  There is not one in my yard, hard to believe!

Is there a rose without thorns?  A tough one good for a beginner to try in Zone 5?  My ignorance abounds here!

Thanks for posting the pics.  LM

You may want to investigate the Griffin Buck roses for your area. They are very cold hardy and many are disease (fungal disease) resistant.

They were hybridized in Iowa.

Link to them.

I just checked and a thornless climbing Bourbon rose called Zepherine Droughin is hardy from zones 5-9. It is also somewhat shade tolerant. The only downside is that it does get blackspot but its a great rose for an arbor as it has no thorns. It blooms in June by me but sporadically through the summer.

See this rose on the arbor? This was taken in May of 2012 pre-Sandy and that is Zepherine Droughin on both sides of the arbor.

Let me look for some others that are thornless but more disease resistant.

Here is a list of thornless or nearly thornless roses but I leave it to you to google their disease resistance.

among the thornless list -- many are climbers that are ramblers (the ramblers bloom once only per season) and not sporadically on and off over the summer the way climbers do.

Many of those thornless roses get either blackspot or mildew so you would have to spray a fungicide as a preventative.
