Hello. My first time on this forum. Thanks to JazzMom. I like yardwork and growing what I can. I live in So. CA so the weather here allows for a number of things to grow without the threat of snow and ice (except for the hills/mountains).
I grew a lovely Arabica Coffee Plant and she yielded her first crop after several seasons. I removed the beans and attempted to dry them in the sun. I lost the beans to the birds who quickly swooped down and fled with the beans. I was wondering if anyone has had a better experience than the one I've had. My plant has since perished in the first actual frost we had years ago. I'm in the market for another one and will again attempt to cure the beans before roasting but I'll handle the whole situation differently so the birds will not get their 'starbucks'.
