Those are amazing. Wish I could see them in person. 

 

The city of Baltimore also has abundant, beautiful hydrangeas.  They are big and blue. I think it must have to do with having the right soil and climate. I cannot imagine that all those people are fussing over them.

The flowers are blue because of the natural acidity of the soil. West of the Rockies the soils contain more lime, so those plants will have pink flowers.
