Looking for a way to help keep worms off my enclosed patio. I get so many on my stone patio. i would love any ideas to keep them out, I have 3 big dogs, so need a non-chemical way. Thanks !

If you dogs wont eat salt sprinkle some salt around the edge of the floor.

Just put the worms back on the soil. They are so good at keeping it ariated and healthy.

I'm with @dex. I definitely would not kill them. They are really good for the environment. Put them outside OR
Get a glass container, add soil and put them there. Feed them as below and save them for someone who composts.
Chop up the food a bit and make sure it is lukewarm not cold.
When you feed worms always try to add equal portions of greens and browns!
Greens: Vegetable and fruit scraps, bread, pasta, coffee grounds and filters, teabags, dead plant matter from houseplants
Browns: Paper, junk mail, paper egg cartons, cardboard, dry leaves
All organic material will break down, some faster than others.
However, there are some suggested foods to avoid:
Salty foods, citrus, spicy foods, oils (like those found in salad dressing), prepackaged foods with preservatives, meat and dairy products because they attract flies and can cause the vermicomposter to smell.

They came out of the ground when it gets wet because they can't get enough oxygen. Once on the pavement they get dried out & cannot get back into the ground.
They are good for your lawn/garden etc so you probably won't find a pesticide that works on them.

This is totally off-subject, but I used to have a few dogs who loved rolling on their backs whenever they found a dead worm. Not on live ones, just those that had died and dried up.

I don't like worms. I know they are good things to have in the yard but that's where they need to stay. I have no solution to the problem of having them come on to the pavement.
I never liked fishing either. Someone else would always have to hook the worms for me...eww.

@dogsx3@SilleeMee@ImaoldhippieDon't put salt on the patio! It will get on your dogs paws and dry their paws out. Dogs sweat through their paws; they need the moisture to work for their health.
What about a broom to sweep the worms back outside where they belong? IDK

Invite a flock of robins for dinner?

Is your patio complelty inclosed? Screen or glass then there must be cracks at the frame bottom where they're getting in just plu up the cracks if that's the case.
