What a beautiful and fun place to spend an afternoon chatting.  Meet you by the yellow settee.

@Lilysmom1    What is the first, white flower?  It reminds me of a Poinsettia.  Everything seems to be lush and doing well, beautiful as usual.

@Kachina624 @The white flower is a clematis, Jackmanii.  It has been a lovely year for clematis...see below.  The purple is Nellie Moser.  Not sure what the other is.  LM

@NEvans2 @Kachina624 @ladyfox412 @Skididdy @Chessa35 et al, We did a huge planting this year of rhodos and azaleas.  We also added another Satomi dogwood.  I told DH this is the the last big planting as we are finally out of room.

We plan to do some modifications lakeside after the beaver damage.  We are scheduled to do a garden tour next June so I hope that will be finished by then.  It is hard to get landscaping companies booked these days.  LM

@Lilysmom1, Just pure perfection, as usual.  Your plantings are lovely, and I also always enjoy your garden ornaments.  That croc and seahorse are precious and evidence of a great sense of humor.

We do have a purple clematis around our lightpole which is blooming now.  Love those flowers.

@PamfromCT , yes, lakeside gardening is all about personality.  I had great fun choosing the concrete decor and painting it.  I think it is time to add a beaver to the collection don't you?  LM

@Lilysmom1    LOL, Sounds like you already have a beaver or two.  Maybe you and dh should take up trapping.

@Kachina624  you know me, always up for a challenge.  I am going to do an overhaul of the lakefront garden.  I am going for thorny things, perhaps some grasses, stuff unappealing to the beavers.  I am also considering putting up a solar motion detector spot light.

The beavers do keep the lake clean and I try to remind myself of that fact.  LM
