It is a hazy morning...colour is emerging slowly in this cool wet early summer.  Looks like it will be a very good year for hydrangeas.  Lots of buds waiting for today's sunshine.

@Lilysmom Thank you for the beautiful garden pictures. It all looks so peaceful and serene-a place to wander or to sit and ponder. I love your use of the statues throughout. It reminds me of a local Japanese garden that we love to visit. You have a great talent! I noticed that your house is a creamy soft yellow color which is the same as ours.

@Lilysmom: Oh My Goodness, that's beautiful. Where do you live?

I live in the desert and even though I love it and appreciate our desert vegetation and colors, this blows me away.

Absolutely gorgeous. Sigh

@abbalulu, the colour of my siding is called vintage cream.  I love the soft buttery yellow.  Reminds me of summer in the deep winter!  LM

@Sadiesadie, I live in Nova Scotia on Canada's east coast.  We have a climate very similar to Maine.  My brother lives in the interior of British Columbia.  He gets very desert like conditions so I kind of get what you mean.  Far less precipitation than here in the coast.  LM

@JustJazzmom, do you know what that orange flower is?  Reminds me of marigolds but taller.  LM

It's a member of the daisy family so I am guessing Coreopsis? It could be some sort of daisy too but not Gerbera as yours are too tall. Maybe not Coreopsis as those get about 18" - 2' max.

Hi Lilysmom! Your garden is absolutely beautiful!  Thank you for sharing it with us.  The orange flower looks like coreopsis to me.
