I heard QVC's garden shows will start around Jan. 23.  Is anyone here happy to see garden shows on the horizon?  or spending their winter cruising garden books or catalogs?

I enjoy Q's garden shows, though I've never bought plants from Q and doubt I ever will.  The shows are cheery and portend Spring weather, and sometimes I even learn something new..

I do look forward to the garden shows, but this year it won't be the same without Phillip from Cottage Farms.  He was fun to watch and full of good tips.  Nice to see beautiful flowers and veggies when it is cold and snowy outside.

I enjoy the garden shows.  Makes me happy when it's dreary and snow covered here !!!!

I did before I moved to FL from a lifetime in Michigan.  I've tried to adjust, but haven't been successful.

Oh, the days of planning in mid-winter among gardening catalogs!

Anxious for Phillip's new book! Yes, I'm ready for gardening shows. Always fun to watch. Don't buy, but beats the current programming.

It will be interesting to see who Cottage Farm's bring in as Phillip's replacement. Can't remember if someone ever filled in for him in the past or not. Those will be huge shoes to fill. Hope everyone give the new person(s) a fair chance.

I've already placed some orders for mini and small hostas. Ordered a couple days following the accident to avoid paying Shipping charges. You know, if over $100 and purchased before Dec. 31 . . . free shipping. Just got in under the wire!!

Good!  I'm happy to see it's not just me.   I'm ready to see some green plants and just sit back and watch.  I need some inspiration!

Wanted to add - I'm also going to miss Philip.  He was a hoot and had a fun banter with most of the QVC hosts.  He was a joy to watch.  Anxious to see who represents Cottage Farms this spring.

I bought plants from Roberta's once and was very disappointed w/the plants and their CS, so I never bought anything from Cottage Farms for fear it would be the same thing.  However, I will miss Phillip this year.

@Patriot3 I've never had luck with Roberta's plants.  Every year I do order Cottage Farms sunpatients and every year I am rewarded with a huge display so I will continue to order them if they are offered this year.  If I'm remembering correctly a month or so ago CF had a small presentation, don't remember the offering, but the person replacing Phillip at that time was a woman.  Wasn't impressed with her but then to be fair it will be hard to replace him.

oh no!--I didn't know that Phillip is not returning from Cottage Farms--does anyone know why?--
