Simply stunning, @Lilysmom1 Heart

We've spent the last few weeks away from home. We returned to NJ earlier today.  Our gardens need some TLC. Can I hire you?  We do not have a beautiful lake bordering our property but we do have the Atlantic Ocean across the road.

Very pretty.  We have finally gotten some rain here in the PNW and the plants are loving it.  My grass is actually turning green again.

@DiAnne @We had a pretty good year for precipitation and it shows.  LM

@KingstonsMom @Sweetbay magnolia  The globe blue spruce are lovely.  I find some of the larger blue spruce trees get sparse looking as they age but these remain thick and colourful...I love evergreens and it is not hard to tell!

We usually light up two huge blue spruce closer to the street at Christmas.  We need a big stepladder to trim those trees now so I have been eyeing these!  LM

@lulu1 @it is so nice to be close to the water.  At our last home we were across the street from the ocean as well.  It was a wilderness reserve area and the Fall color was gorgeous against the backdrop of the water.  I used to sit at the living room window and watch the eagles fish in the morning.  LM

@Lilysmom1

It is wonderful having a water view.  We have a porch off our bedroom that faces the ocean.  I do love sitting there and having my morning cappuccino.

The only drawback is Mother Nature isn't always happy with us. We've been displaced when hurricanes have struck.

@lulu1  Hurricanes used to be something we never thought about here in Nova Scotia.  Not the case anymore.  We are in the middle of having a whole home generator installed for that reason, added to the issue of winter nor'easters.  The prospect of power outages here is now a regular occurrence.  LM

@Lilysmom1

I hear you.  We never had a generator until AFTER Sandy visited.
