Hello friends. We have been busy outside. We have laid down fresh topsoil and lawn seed on the front lawn and are now enjoying a few rainy days. We should have hired that job out in retrospect but it is done now and probably done better than a hired out job.
I tried to give some different perspectives of the main property in the back yard (as opposed to front and lakeside). It is hard to capture it all in a shot.
The greening of the yard is always lovely to watch.
Enjoy today's tour. S

We miss Lily every day. She has been gone a month. I still look for my garden shadow especially on trips to the lake.

@Lilysmom1 I enjoyed the scenic tour of your gardens around your home, thanks for sharing. I only have azaleas, crepe myrtles, stella de ore's and some big boy and better boy tomato plants currently. I know you truly miss your gardening helper, Lily. She looked like a very competent and loving helper always at the ready I am sure.

Thank you for the garden tour. Absolutely breathtaking ! Such a surprise to see the pheasant , I had to look twice to see if it was real.

@Lilysmom1 Your gardens are absolutely gorgeous and reflect what I know is a lot of hard work! Thanks so much for sharing the beauty! Now, about the ringneck, do you have a lot of them? That one doesn't even look real! They used to be plentiful here in PA, but they are no longer raised and stocked for game, as far as I know. The last one I saw ran in front of our car on the turnpike about 3 years ago.

@Boomernichols , that sounds like a lovely garden. You must be warmer than my area if you have crepe mrytles. We are in Zone 5 with a push in some spots to 6. I would love to see a photo of them. S

@piperbay @PA Mom-mom , the pheasants are here all the time. Our lots are large (mine is almost 2 acres). They eat holly berries and browse through the gardens. We have rabbits, lots of birds, beavers, etc.
My DH took the photos with a camera which takes a much better photo than my iPad or iPhone. S

What stunning gardens. I can't even begin to cope with that. I'm lucky if I plant the two borders in front of my house. (Not doing it this year because of a pesky groundhog who's taken up residence under our front steps. We're trying to trap him humanely to relocate. No success last year and he kept eating all my beautiful flowers, so I'm not planting a buffet for him this year.)
I'm sorry to hear about Lily. I truly do know the heartbreak you're feeling now, but I loved the photo you posted of her.
