Thanks for the lovely pictures of your garden. I have a black thumb, pretty much, but I did notice that my hosta's and bleeding hearts are poking up thru the ground. Happy Easter.

@Lilysmom1    I'm so glad you came back home to post some pictures.  Dispite the winter weather, I've missed your pictures and look forward to seeing the garden in all its glory soon.

Did you finish a quilt?

@Kachina624 , I have missed my old friends here as well.

i put a pretty big order in at the Rhodo Society so I will be planting come early March.  I ordered a red maple, a beautiful yellow pine called Cjief Joseph and six rhodos and azaleas.  I took advantage of the Spring sale.  Some beauties in there so I a, excited to get them in the ground.

I did do a quilt this year, one I did before and gifted to my sister in law for her cottage.  You will remember it Kachina because it had one of your favorite colours...tourquoise.  I liked it so much, I did it again.  See below.

hope things are well with you!  LM

@catter70 , it has been a cool Spring.  No sign of hostas yet.  We are busy moving shrubs while the are dormant.  LM

@mizree , it is so nice to be out in the garden again.  Although it wasn't a really bad winter, it seemed like it was a long one.

I am happy to see the garden. coming to life again.  LM

@Lilysmom1    I remember that quilt well.  It's beautiful.

Do you have deer there?  Seems like your area ought to be prime territory yet you never mention them eating your plants.  Your garden would be a gourmet smorgasbord if they were around.

@Kachina624 , we do have deer.  We do not back onto woodland though.  They are more common across the street which backs onto protected areas.  We have the lake on one side and the street on the other.  They could still find us though.  Lily used to keep them away.  She is gone a year now.  LM

@Lilysmom1   Nice to see you this Spring! Hope you and your husband and family have been well. We are pretty much status quo, so all is good.

Our spring isn't much further along than your's, it's been rainy a lot - today in fact, a lot of windy days too. We've had snow mixed in still too. Bulbs held on pretty well through some of this stuff. Flowering tress pretty much done for at this point also our Service Berry held out until this weekend to bloom along with the ruby rhodo both out front, looking good.

Here's hoping our weather - your's and our's - will begin to move more quickly to the warmer side of life! Stay afe, enjoy the gardens.
