Its so beautiful @Lilysmom.  You have your own private botanical gardens, and it'll only get better as the season progresses.  I see a lot of hard work.

@Lilysmom

Such a beautiful sanctuary.  I recognize the tulips but cannot name too many other flowering plants.

You do know you had me fooled into thinking you were barely out of winter.

@lulu2@Kachina624, until early this week, I was wearing a light winter jacket for morning walks.  Having said that, I am walking before 7 am.  It has been close to freezing until just recently.  I only planted my annuals a couple of days ago.  We had cool wet spring weather.  Two days this week, we had 90 degrees.  Big swings.  Enjoyed a lovely long weekend of sun which was like a tonic for the garden after all the rain.

Rain returns tomorrow for the rest of the week.  You have to run around and get your outside jobs done when you can in our spring!

So nice to be outside working again.  I am waiting impatiently for my Canada 150 tulips to bloom.  There has been mixed reaction to them.  There're are a mixture yellow, red, white and cream.  We thought they were supposed to be red and white with a touch of yellow but they are all over the map.

Looks like it's going to be a good year for lilacs.  LM

@Lilysmom  We haven't even been close to 90° here in the desert yet.  The past 4 days have been really chilly; down to 39° one night which is very unusual.  It'll warm up this week though.

I couldn't help but think how much children would enjoy your garden and all the statuary and birds and animals.  There's so much to discover.

@Kachina624, the kids love all the paths and stepping stones.  They hop from one to the other all over the yard.  Snakes and ladders😄.  LM

PS, wow we are ahead of you in temps!  It is certainly above normal for us as well so we do enjoy them when we get them early in the year.  I swam both days.  Yes, crazy.  My first swim every year is the long weekend in May.  I live on a lake.  If it was the ocean, I wouldn't be in.  Last swim is usually. mid October.  LM

@Lilysmom  As you said, this timeof year when everything is coming back to life, our gardens do change daily.  Sometimes with some plants, you can sit anywhere in your garden and almost watch the lovely petals open to show their wares.  You have some real favs of our's, brunnera for one.  We have a crop under one of our holly trees a small area that is shared also by Solomon's seal and a burgundy fern.

I also think you have a few birds that are new, saw the cardinal first which is our st of OH bird and we have lots of real ones in our yard, regulars that nest in our evergreens every year.

Such a wonderful calmness in so many places in your garden, every nook and cranny.  Love it!
