Have you heard of urban forest bathing?

treesforcities.org/beginners-guide-urban-forest-bathing

Here are the simple steps:

5 steps to urban Forest Bathing

  1. Find a park, urban forest or wild woodland near you.
  2. Research your trail options based on how much time you have to spare; whether you’re looking to ‘bathe’ for 5 minutes, or 5 hours.
  1. Switch off your phone or leave it at home. This is a time to switch off from the world and enjoy quiet time in nature.
  1. Awaken all your senses. Take slow deep breathes in. Notice the clean air. Stand still. Listen to natural sounds around you. Look up. See the wildlife in the trees and count the varieties of green. Touch the bark of the biggest tree you can find. Marvel at its ancient strength and hidden history.
  1. Do it regularly. It may not come up high on your weekly to do list, but Forest Bathing is something you should try to incorporate into your life. Even if you tie it in with a weekend walk with friends, or take running away from the treadmill and into the park.

When it gets warmer I do this every morning for my mediation. I have  a lot of trees in my back yard. I go out on my deck sit in patio chair and listen.  I love trees.. I have an Apricot tree that at it's base is 14' around and still produces fruit.

@sweetee2    I have lots of trees, too.   A couple years ago, around dusk, a whole flock of migrating birds decided to roost for the night in my yard.   It was the most fascinating "event"...............di

Visit Arboretums too for viewing trees (usually at maturity).

I live across the street from a wild life preserve.  There is a bay (turtles, beavers, lots of kinds of ducks, geese, swans) fir trees and also many varities of birds (pair of eagles, hawks, red winged black birds, etc).  I walk there a few times a week.
