I am just about finished cleaning up the gardens. Some Fall flowers left. The hydrangeas are so lovely. The holly has produced it's red berries and the pheasants are lined up to feed.
The Honeycrisp apples are abundant this year. Pies are on the agenda for next week. We will marathon produce a dozen for the freezer and our neighbors.
Finally, meet the newest garden statue. I think we should put her down by the lake. My very own mermaid🙂. We will have to find a name for her.
Happy Fall garden friends. LM
Four different hydrangeas in this one. The middle one is Vanilla Strawberry.
Quick Fire I think
Sedum (Autumn Joy I think) and Joe Pye Weed

Remember the Crimson Lace Red Maple I moved early in Spring? Doing really well in it's new home. The Japanese red maples have yet to put on their Fall show.
Our newest garden piece. Waiting for placement...

@on the bay, good eye! I was wondering what blue spruce you were talking about. I see it now hehe. Thanks! LM

Your garden is absolutely beautiful. Hydrangeas are just about my favorite plant. I have some mop heads, lime lights and phantoms, but none of those gorgeous pink ones. You can bet after seeing yours I will be ordering some. First have to make a new bed though. Thanks for posting the pics!

I always loved hydrangeas..........where we used to live we had so many beautiful ones on our property....since we moved and sized down.....we planted a few around our home but this is a "deer" area...and the LOVE to eat them.........so we have opted to go without them instead of keeping up the battle...................yours look lovely...enjoy!

@pachutabelle, if you plant the vanilla strawberry, give it lots of room to spread out. I have two and they are both very wide. They are my favorites I think! LM

Your grounds are spectacular. I never knew the name of a large hydrangea bush on our property. It looks to be Vanilla Strawberry.
Those Honey Crisp apples look delicious and would fetch a pretty penny at our markets.

@muttmom, aren't the hydrangeas beautiful? So glad you have vanilla strawberry🙂! LM

Beautiful as always!
I just got a notice that my tulip bulbs are being delivered tomorrow so I better get busy and remove the geraniums from the big pots!
