Re: Early evening, July 25, 2019

@ScarletDove , that is so frustrating.  Our Lab keeps the deer at bay.  She is 12 now so we will be facing the issue not too far in the future, sadly.

We lost a lot of more fragile plants this past winter.  A lot of freeze thaw going on with no snow cover.  Lost Brunnera, some ferns, and, surprising to me, a lot of coneflowers.  LM

Morning, @Lilysmom .  I see the dragonfly!

I'm in the states, in VA, and I've never had luck with coneflower.  I love it though!

Enjoy your day.  The garden is gorgeous.

@Lilysmom  Saw the inchworm and crocodile. Didn't realize the dragonfly was also from an old tire. How clever and artistic of you! (Those stairs stole my heart.)

@Lilysmom   I see one lady has a full head of hair now, and will the other have a Clematis head of hair?

Love that beautiful tree stump, and all else, looks wonderful.

The deer and dragonfly seem to be new, forgot to really look, so will now.

I havn't seen my doves yet, did they fly away, lol.

@Lilysmom  The coneflowers may come back at some point, they are pretty tough.

@mousiegirl @BirkiLady @Sweetbay magnolia , not one of these coneflowers survived the winter.  I lost at least three drifts of coneflower in the front and back yards.  It was a hard winter.  LM

@BirkiLady , here are a couple of better shots.  The worm and the crocodile are concrete.  The dragonfly is mirrored glass.  LM89D0B51B-9DEC-4FEC-9697-081BC6E4E312.jpeg

@mousiegirl , too funny.  The big face had a clematis on each side so her hair was going to be bi color but one of the clematis died.  The doves keep their vigil over the phlox.  The deer has been there for a few years.  You have good eyes!  LM
