Beautiful, even while it is fading.
All of your decorative elements are so interesting and thoughtful. They seem at home where they have been placed. I know you gave each and every one careful consideration and it shows.
A real symphony of nature and beauty

@wilma @LindaSal @PINKdogWOOD @Witchy Woman @AngelPuppy1 what beautiful Fall weather we are having here in Nova Scotia. Most of the garden cleanup is over except for the leaves. When I say 'except for the leaves' that is a big 'except'. I confess that is a job I hate lol. Oak leaves especially.
@LindaSal , do you miss the east coast? Where are you now?
@PINKdogWOOD , Mr DH is well and such a great help in the garden. All the heavy lifting, digging, putting up with me changing my mind. He swears he has moved every shrub in the yard five times. I don't dare agree but I think he is close to right😀.
@wilma I would love to make a footpath through the hardwoods to the lake. I don't dare mention that to DH yet. He will have a heart attack😳. We are mid 60's but I love the outdoor work amd I think he does too, he indulges me to a degree but just not sure to that degree lol!
@Witchy Woman , I finally found a white obelisk. I will put it out next year. DH put it together for me last week so I could make sure all the pieces were there. As I am consolidating gardens, I will be moving stuff around. Here is what it looks like...
Thanks everyone for your comments. It is nice to see the gardens through someone else's eyes especially since garden tours are out for this year. Stay safe! LM

@Lilysmom question may sound silly -- what are winters like in your area?
10-05-2020 06:04 AM
UGH!!! @Lilysmom I hate doing leaf removal too. We're usually out every weekend spending a couple of hours. Seems all the neighborhood leaves land in our yard and we also seem to be the only ones around raking up the leaves. Oh well, all part of changing seasons.

@jeanlake Think Maine and that is what our winters are like. We get regular snow, nor'easter storms. We are coastal so a fair amount of precipitation. Snow usually mostly Jan to March. I think climate change is really with us. We often wonder if we will have a white Christmas but the weather January to March makes up for it.
Below is a shot from my living room window. LM
