Container Hydrangea Topiary - need advice

I received a gift of a beautiful hydrangea topiary in a container and need care advice! I've never had a hydrangea before so know nothing about them. Should I keep it as a container plant? I assume I would bring it into the house over the winter? Or should it be planted outside, in a specific shade or sun location? Any advice on other care as well, i.e. trimming would be much appreciated. Thanks in Ohio!
