Can anyone recommend one that has vibrant color for zone 5 or lower? TIA. LM

There are so many that are hardy to zone 4!  

 

One great place to search is Monrovia.com. Type clematis in the search bar, select "view all matching plants" and on the left margin you can add your zone. I chose zone 4. Here are a few that are in stock:

 

Jackman superba  purple

 

Madame Julia  red

 

Pink Champagne  rose

 

And, their "Plant Savvy" montly newsletter is fun and free if you want to subcribe.
