I just bought a birdfeeer tower that has become incredibly popular.  Does anyone have have a good site for identifying some of my visitors?

allaboutbirds.org is an awesome website!  I always go to them to make sure what I see in my yard is what I think it is.  Enjoy your birds!  :-)

Years ago, I fed the birds and bought a book with photos.  I envy you!  The pigeons came en masse and pooped all over the place, the neighbors complained, and I had to stop.  During the winter, I got quite a few unusually colored birds and would look them up.  I just loved it!  Enjoy your bird watching.

How unfortunate!  I did have a very determined squirrel that derailed my first efforts, so I bought a 9 foot shephards' hook and that seems to have kept him at bay.  He was getting really bold and fat, lol.

You can google birds in your area and it will turn up what birds are common in your specific area of your state.

@SydneyH  Go to the Among Friends forum and look up Birdmama's thread called Bird's Nest.  A lot of birders and nature lovers hang out there, a lovely group of people.
