We have three large bird baths in our back yard and clean and refill them a couple of times each day. This week we had very hot and humid weather and the birds really took extra advantage of the baths. I usually see one bird in the bath at a time. However, in the last couple of days I saw three and sometimes four in the bath at the same time and a few on the rim as well, apparently waiting for their turn. Obviously, they were very grateful for the ability to bathe, cool off, and/or get a drink of water in high 90 temps.

If you have bird baths don't forget to clean and fill them regularly. The birds will thank you for it.
