Just bought a small bananna tree. Live in Florida and it will get lots of sun daily. My question is about what type of soil should I buy to plant it in the ground and also what type of fertilizer. Read that it needs potassium and and nitrogen. Also not to use a heavy soil but one with perlite. New at this so I get overwhelmed when at the garden centers. Most of what I see if Miracle Grow potting soil. Gets confusing when some articles on line say use a 10-10-10 or an 8-8-8- or a 24 8 16! The numbers are driving me crazy....
