Re: Are SunPatients Found At Local Nursery?

I live in south central Wisconsin and I found them at my local nursery last year.  They grew like crazy and had beautiful flowers.  The only thing is they have to be kept watered or they wilt.  And, they have to be planted in a large pot as they grow large root systems and will get root bound easily.

Re: Are SunPatients Found At Local Nursery?

UPDATE!  I found a local nursery by me that had some in stock....I admit I am nervous about planting them in the sun.  So I only picked up 1 plant in a beautiful cherry red color.  It is very healthy and much larger then the ones you see presented on air at the Q (the ship size) mine is about the size of 4 or 5 of these shipped as shown sizes.  I put it in the area I would like it to grow...but am concerned as it will truly get full sun.  So far it's doing great...no wilting and blooming.  I did just go out and water it today also.

If the full sun turns out to be a no go here then I will try to move it to a partial shade area.  I only paid 9.99 for it but didn't want to invest to much if I kill it LOL!

I grow Vinca in the sun.  Similar flowers and easier to find.  I've had really good luck with them.  I am trying the New Guinea impatiens in the shadier part of the bed.
