An oriole is on our hummingbird feeder

I've never seen this before.  Unusual or not?

Not - they drink the same sugar water...BUT one can't drink out of the other's feeder.  Last 3 years have had Orioles around - bought them their own orange (feeder).  Put it up 5 days ago and haven't seen any of them back.  Guess they were just moving through the area.

One of the flower dohickeys broke off and there is a larger hole available.  Maybe this smart little bird noticed it?

They like sweet stuff, as do hummingbirds.  They will eat fruit and jelly.

We had about 6-8 here this year. They migrate through and stayed longer this year than in the past. I had an oriole feeder out with orange halves and grape jelly. Yes, they do like to drink from the hummingbird feeders. And they love suet. I got some great photos of them.

Don't know as we don't usually have orioles in our yard but our hummingbirds are back for this season!!!  Saw them over the weekend, we are SO excited, we love to see our 'resident' hummers!!!  I was standing in our back yard on Sunday and one came right up to me, stopped for a second or two then kept on buzzing. We've been watching for them, so happy they're back. We plant annuals just for them every year.

@goldensrbest   Their nests are very different - have you ever seen one in person? They're like little hanging baskets. We used to have nesters in our trees eons ago when I lived in NJ when I was a little girl.

Hummer traffic is low, but by the end of the summer I will have to make two or three batches of syrup a day.  We keep two feeders going so we never run out.

We get them all the time. They look kinda silly because they hang upside down on our long tube feeders. Big drinkers. They just love that sugar water.
