A mistake turned into a good thing!

I just bought some pillows at a huge markdown that I'd had my eye on at a local nursery's gift shop.

I thought I was buying faded navy striped pillows but, in fact, I didn't realize they were gray stripes until I got them home.

But when I put them on the old, weathered rocking bench, I found they looked even better in gray than they would have in any shade of navy.

Have you ever had a mistake turn into a good thing?

Very nice!  Pillows and cushions for outdoor use are expensive, aren't they.  I'm looking for some and keep hoping to find something i like on end-of-season clearance.  I want to buy froma B&M store rather than online, because there's a fair chance that whatever I get will need to be returned.
