A NEW VISITOR TO MY GARDEN, AND IT'S ORANGE!

One day last week, all of a sudden something flew to a bamboo pole in a pot, so I looked and saw this.  I stood there staring, then realized I should get my camera, and thankfully, it was still there, and stayed for at least ten minutes.  I had never seen nor heard of this before, a Flame Skimmer dragonfly.DSCF7226.JPGDSCF7227.JPG.

So fun!  Nature is awesome.  I too love it when I see a new visitor; it can be a critter or a bird or a beauty like you saw.

oh, that's a great photo @mousiegirl!

I never saw one that looked like that.

 

I feel it's good luck to have a dragonfly visit the garden, because they may just decide to stay for the summer.

 

I love to see a dragonfly flitting around the yard devouring mosquitoes day after day.  😁
