95 Days until spring!

[ Edited ]

But, who is counting? MOI !!

Anxious for green grass,

longer, sunfilled days

warmer weather and

bursts of color on the landscape.

Money screams; wealth whispers.

I enjoy gardening, but also enjoy the break that winter provides.  When I see the first daffodils, scilla, and tulips emerging, I'll be more anxious for Spring.

I will be happy to see the bunnies that come to the back yard to munch on grass and clover. This past spring and summer were unseasonably hot so the 'regulars" (and yes I can identify them!)  only showed up a couple of times. I love the bunnies.

@ValuSkr   While I don't like cold weather, you have the right idea on needing the very cold and freezing temps to promote our SPRING bulbs to show up again and bloom beautifully all for our viewing pleasure.

@BirkiLady   I first look forwrd the Winter Solstice this year on Tuesday Dec 21. About two weeks later or so we begin to get back more daylight. At the start of this we may not see it right off but it's there.

@Love my grandkids     I love bunnies too!  We have them in our yard also, along with the deer who come to visit.  I guess I just love all animals.

@sophiesofers  Smiley Happy There is one bunny who started coming around in 2020. I named her Henrietta, no idea of her gender! But I can always tell her by her coloring. When she was there I would slowly go out of the downstairs slider which goes to the yard, and slowly walk a little way into the yard. Over time she got used to me, I would speak to her very quietly. and she would actually come to within 2 feet of me.

I loved that! Once in awhile she'd go stretch out in the shade by the flower bed. I miss her and hope she returns. One day there were 3 of them playing, jumping over each other! Such joy!
