The only thing I need this summer is a pair of pants. I wear dresses as soon as it's warm enough.

Just got the TSV Anybody pants from a few days ago. I have never had a worse fit. Snug in the crotch and the legs were huge. Supposed to be straight leg.

Does anybody look good in the wide pants? I'm tempted to buy the NYDJ culottes because I'm desperate for warm weather pants.

Has anyone spotted pants that are summer weight and straight.

I love wide legs but I go by the measurement charts.  Some pant openings are much bigger than others.

I don't wear dresses but wear lightweight fabrics for my pants.  I really like Denim & Co's "Comfy knit air" or gauze pants.  I find them to be cool & comfortable.

Love gauze. I can only wear cotton in the summer and have acquired six gauze dresses but can't find pants. Two of the dresses will cost me at the tailor because I bought them really long. They were the first gauze I saw and grabbed them. Found them hanging in the back of my closet last week.

@lavendar Try Appleseeds.  They have lots of summer weight pants in various fabrics and lengths and their prices are good, and the quality is nice.  Not top drawer sometimes, but I haven't had a problem with quality yet.

Never been a fan of wide leg pants. At one time of my life I weighed 254# and a type 2 diabetic and my pants were truly wide leg !  Now after having a repeat right knee replacement due to an infection with surgery during Covid I had a wake up call. I have made massive changes in my diet, I now exercise and I'm down to 128, off diabetes meds and loving that I can wear slim leg pants. At 74 I look good and get compliments and I feel so much better !!  Woman Very HappyWoman LOL  For those who like the wide leg pant, no judgement here, enjoy the look. I'm loving my new slim look! Woman Happy

I guess my beach pants are the widest pants I have.  Think I will stick with those.  I also have gauze pants from Old Navy as well.

I have enough clothes for every season but not saying I don't like to freshen my wardrobe up each season and move out some old items.  Did some of that not long ago.

@Goodie2shoes There are reasons besides weight that some people like wide leg pants.  For one thing they are much cooler in the summer to wear when it's hot out.  For me the main reason is I don't have to feel self conscious about my legs.

I'm knock kneed.  My left leg goes straight down but my right leg while it's straight to the knee tends to go off to the side below the knee. Wide leg pants cover that.

Some day if I get knee replacement I was told that they could straighten out my leg but I have mixed feelings about  having this done.  Not everyone has been successful with knee replacement and too many still struggle with knee pain & various issues.

Congratulations on your weight loss!

I hated them when I was a younger gal and I still have seen very few women my age that can carry them off well.

@lavendar try J Jill.  I bought a solid blue and white w tiny blue stripes gauze pants a couple months ago. They change out often.  They might be out or even on sale at this time.

Can you still see the measurements of what you bought?  Go check the rise.

A lot of the styles are a lower/mid rise these days.  If you want them to sit at the waist, be careful.
