The OP is asking about bold type, not CAPITALS. When a poster chooses their name, they decide whether they want any capitals. @geezerette choose to write her name in all lower case, but @Bird mama put a capital at the beginning of hers.  So capitals have nothing to do with how much a poster has contributed to this site.

Not on mine. Those with just a few posts are in regular type, those with more posts have bolded type.  In the "View All Forum Topics" view.

I don't know the magic number.  It's like the magic numbers denoting the different status of each poster.  Like you are an "Honored Contributor".

I think you are asking (like you said!) why are some NAMES, not TITLES in bold and some not? right?

Sorry we all are a little slow or confusing lol! My first answer was maybe not want you were asking, I see now.

But I don't have any names in lighter print either. They are all in bold.

I only have titles lighter than others-the ones I read.

So I don't know the answer either.

the names that i see that are NOT in bolder print are "newer" posters with fewer posts. i see this all the time on the boards when looking at the entire list of posts once i go into the category i am browsing. it has been this way for a long time. i access the forums via my laptop.
